We’re honored to welcome James A. Arnold, Liaison and Policy Section Chief, U.S. DEA, Diversion Control Division, to the Sharing Conference™ this year!

As many of you may know, the mission of DEA's Diversion Control Division is to prevent, detect, and investigate the diversion of controlled pharmaceuticals and listed chemicals from legitimate sources while ensuring an adequate and uninterrupted supply for legitimate medical, commercial, and scientific needs. Under federal law, all businesses that import, export, manufacture, or distribute controlled substances must register with the DEA, and as such, DEA Registrants must comply with regulatory requirements relating to drug security and recordkeeping for controlled substances. These regulations can sometimes be as confusing to those who are new to working with controlled substances as they are to well-seasoned compliance professionals.

During this well-timed and enlightening general session, Mr. Arnold will be providing conference attendees with a look at the Federal Laws and Regulations governing the manufacture and distribution of controlled substances.
