About the Conference

For almost three decades, pharmaceutical, medical device and, more recently, biotech compliance professionals have been meeting at the annual Sharing Conference™. What draws them to our compliance conference is a strong desire to learn and share. The Alliance recognizes our attendees have a real need to expand their knowledge and gain new perspectives in complying with the Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA); The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA); the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), including compliance to section 6002: Physician Sunshine Act, submitting data to CMS through Open Payments and section 6004: Sample Transparency Reporting; and, new federal and state compliance mandates that effect their day-to-day responsibilities.

Today the need for compliance education is more crucial than ever as the breadth and scope of the health care industry faces unprecedented challenges. With every successful advance in legislation, science and business come insights into unexpected roadblocks that beg for solutions. The more we educate ourselves, the better prepared we are to stand up to the challenges of our organization’s mission: to secure a safe and effective drug supply for our nation.

It therefore follows that the annual conference is focused on two things: education, which includes a review of current compliance challenges as well as the anticipated expansion of new regulations and the exchange of information in sharing and networking, where in an atmosphere of collaboration and common goals, attendees from both industry and vendor segments meet to discuss their challenges, best practices and solutions.

In general sessions, workshops, open forums and throughout our exhibit hall, the Sharing Conference offers attendees three days of complete immersion in a wide variety of compliance subjects. Even those in related areas (marketing, regulatory, sales, and more) are drawn to our annual meeting because an understanding of compliance regulations allows them to better appreciate the requirements encountered by their compliance colleagues. The benefits are mutual. The expanded attendance by a wider representation allows us a broadened perspective. And for all participants, this perspective extends beyond conference meeting. Our Members Only section provides ongoing learning and sharing throughout the year for all conference attendees.

The Alliance Board works to select the topics and speakers that will resonate with compliance professionals at the annual Sharing Conference. Pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech attendees, along with their vendor counterparts, understand the value of meeting in person. You are invited to share your ideas of what you would like to see covered at the annual conference. Contact Us with your suggestions or to update/add your contact information to the mailing/email list.
